Yoshio Yoshida was the premier defensive shortstop of the postwar era. He wasn't bad with the stick either, compiling a .267 lifetime batting average while striking out less than 5% of the time and leading the league in sacrifice bunts on four occasions. Three baseball cards are included in the JF 46 Karuso Seika set, which features other athletes and entertainers as well. Fronts contain a cutout player image over a single color background. One corner contains one quarter of a Japanese character. If cards with all four quarters are put together to form an entire circle, the owner can redeem the cards for a prize. The uniforms worn by the players in this set date from either 1958 or 1959, but the exact year of issue is unknown.
