These gorgeous cards have large, colorized, borderless images of top stars of the day on the front and a great deal of information about the subjects printed on the back in Japanese. These thin stock cards were originally inserted in the February 1949 issue of Shonen (Boys) Magazine. The cards depict (top row, left to right) Tetsuharu Kawakami (HOF) & Noboru Aota (HOF), Hiroshi Nakao (HOF) (2nd row left to right) Kazuto Tsuruoka (HOF), Toshio Kawanishi. The set has received the R5 designation of the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition signifying that three or fewer copies of each card are known.

Condition: Cards were handcut from the magazine to have rounded corners. Otherwise all cards except Kawanishi are Ex. Kawanishi is Fair to Good.
