The American who changed the way Japanese baseball was played during his Hall of Fame career later turned to managing and coaching in Japan Pro Baseball. From 1972 to 1977, he was manager of the Chunichi Dragons. The two cards pictured in the top row are from the JCM 71 1975 Pepsi Cola Chunichi Dragons Rectangular Menko card set and depict Yonamine as Dragons manager. After six seasons (1972-1977) and one Central League title, Yonamine moved on to coach the Yomiuri Giants. The card pictured at bottom is from the JMC 128 1979-80 Gekkan Giants magazine card set. The set was issued in uncut sheets of six cards attached to each consecutive issue of the magazine over a 12 month period.
