Just as the T-206, 1933 Goudey and 1952 Topps sets are cornerstones of vintage American baseball card collecting, the 1959 Hoshi Gangu set of 20 cards is one of the foundations of the vintage Japanese baseball card hobby. Delivered to vendors loose in boxes, these cards were then sold individually to collectors. Numerous classic Japanese Hall of Fame members are represented in the set. In this lot we have (top row, left to right) Shigeo Nagashima (HOF), Motoshi Fujita (HOF)/Katsuya Nomura (HOF), Kazuhisa Inao (HOF)/Yoshio Anabuki, (bottom row, left to right) Minoru Nakamura, Andy Miyamoto (Hawaii) and Motoji Takuwa.

Size: Each card is 1 5/16" x 2 5/8".

Condition: All cards are Nm/Mt with the exception of Nagashima which is Ex.
