A member of the Washington Senators, Earl Whitehill was the winningest pitcher on the 1934 All Star Tour of Japan with six wins and a 1.41 ERA. On the Tour, Whitehill played in a total of nine games and had the highest batting average of any player, batting .458! Only two examples of this card are known to exist.
