This 40 card set depicts the best Japanese baseball players of the era. The cards within the box are perforated pairs. The boxes are unopened, so they have not been touched since they were packed by the manufacturer 57 years ago! The 24 boxes each contain a complete set of 40 cards. That's 960 Nm/Mt cards!!! There are 16 Hall of Famers in each set (box). Can you imagine what a group of 960 1959 Topps cards in unopened packs, known to include 384 cards of Hall of Famers would be worth???? HOF players include Shigeo Nagashima, (Japan's Mr. Baseball), Masaichi Kaneda (400 lifetime victories), Kazuhisa Inao (won 40 games in one season), Katsuya Nomura (657 lifetime HR), Tetsuya Yoneda (300 career wins), Minoru Murayama (Man of Flames) rookie card, Yoshinori Hirose, Tatsuro Hirooka, Shinichi Eto, Yoshio Yoshida, Kenjiro Tamiya, Tokuji Iida, Motoshi Fujita, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Futoshi Nakanishi and Tadashi Sugiura. Also, North Americans Chico Barbon, Carlton Hanta and Jack Ladra. The immortal Shigeo Nagashima appears on all box covers.

Size: Each card is 1 1/2" x 2 11/16, with each perforated pair 3" x 2 11/16". Each set box is 2 7/8" x 3 3/8" x 1/2". The case is 9 1/4" x 7" x 2 1/4".

Condition: The case is Vg/Ex. Boxes are Nm/Mt. It is expected that most cards inside the boxes are Nm/Mt or Mint.
