On August 30, 1978, Sadaharu Oh clubbed his 800th lifetime homer in front of over 55,000 fans against Taiyo Whales pitcher, Giichi Murata. He ultimately added another 68
round trippers to his total before retiring in 1980. The ball from #800 landed in the shoe of one Mr. Hiromori Miyayoshi, who had taken his shoes off while watching the
game! In addition to signing his name on this shikishi (Japanese traditional signing board), Oh added the inscriptions "Number 800" at the top, and "Giants Team" at right,
both in Japanese. Signed in black marker.
Size: 9 1/2" x 10 3/4"
Condition: The shikishi is Ex due to minor toning and foxing. The signature grades 10 of 10.
