Inao (d. 2007) signed his name at left, "Nishitetsu Lions" at center, and "Iron Arm" in Japanese at right in large kanji. Inao was dubbed Iron Arm in 1958 after pitching in all of the Lions' final 9 games of the regular season, and then in six of seven Japan Series games, winning four. In 1959 and 1961, Inao pitched over 400 innings each year! He pitched over 370 innings in three other seasons as well. He started and relieved with equal effectiveness, winning over 30 games twice, including a 42 win season in 1961. It's amazing that he still found the arm strength to sign this shikishi!
