Lot Description  

This is such a rare issue that of the 20 cards thought to be part of the set, only 14 have been discovered to date. The set is designated as R5 in the Japanese Baseball Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. Mizuhara is described on the card as Central League Manager. Mizuhara finished up his 11 years as Yomiuri Giants manager in 1960. After leading the Giants to eight pennants during these years, the 1960 edition of the team finished second. Mizuhara left the Giants to begin managing the Flyers in 1961.
