Originally, many bromide cards were pasted into albums by the boys who collected them. Occasionally, when we find bromides for purchase in Japan, they are found in this form. There are a few uncatalogued card types seen here, but we have identified cards from the JBR2, 2a, 7, 87b and 90 sets. The most impressive card in the lot is the JBR 2a large 3rd prize premium card of Victor Starffin. Other Hall of Famers with cards in this lot include Takehiko Bessho (300 wins) (2 diff.), Fumio Fujimura (Mr. Tigers) (4 diff.), Hiroshi Nakao, Tetsuharu Kawakami (God of Batting) (3 diff.), Shigeru Chiba (The Immortal Buffalo) (3 diff.), Kaoru Betto (Gentleman of Baseball) (2 diff.), Michio Nishizawa (major leaguer at age 15) (2 diff.), Henry "Bozo" Wakabayashi (Hawaii) (3 diff.), Noboru Aota (2 diff.), Atsushi Aramaki, Yukio Nishimoto, Hiroshi Oshita, Tokuji Iida, Juzo Sekine (Rookie), Makoto Kozuru (2 diff.), Yoshiyuki Iwamoto, Shunichi Amachi and Michinori Tsubouchi (2 diff.). There is also a card of Canadian Eiishiro Yoshie. We belive that all cards are blank backed.
Size: Range - 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" to 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Condition: Cards appear to range mostly from Ex to Nm, but they are glued into an album. The backs cannot be seen, so it is unknown whether any of the cards have writing on their blank backs.
