Castillo pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins between 1977 and 1985, winning 38 major league games. He appeared for the Dodgers in the 1981 World Series against the New York Yankees. He is credited with teaching his former Dodgers teammate,
Fernando Valenzuela, how to throw a screwball. In 1987, Castillo was sent to the Seattle Mariners and then was dispatched to Japan later in the year. Reportedly, he had as series of behavioral issues in Japan. For example, he once tried to light his baseball equipment on fire in
the locker room. He also had several accidents on his moped. The jersey offered here is from his 1987 season with the Chunichi Dragons. It is a road jersey with his name and number 41 still attached. The size/year tag has been removed. The Descente tag and washing
instructions are still present.
Size: There is no size tag. However, this jersey is approximately an adult large.
Condition: The jersey is used, but there is no sign of damage.
