Michio Nishizawa (1921-1977) was the youngest player in the history of Japan pro baseball, beginning his career as a pitcher at the age of 15. On May 24, 1942, he pitched an astounding 28 innings (311 pitches) in a 4-4 tie against Taiyo at Korakuen Stadium. On July
18th of the same year he pitched a no-hitter against Hankyu. He later became a first baseman. Nishizawa spent 18 of his 20 seasons in Japan Pro Baseball with the Dragons. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977. His number 15 jersey is one of only two retired by the team. This bat was signed by
Nishizawa as a member of the Dragons. A large 8 1/2" signature is hand signed on this unique Ted Williams model bat.
