This is the first time we have been privileged to offer a complete set of JGA 2 cards in uncut sheet form. This set first appeared in the January 1949 issue (published December 1948) of Yakyu Shonen magazine, a children's publication. Children generally cut the cards into singles, and
then used them to play a dice game, ultimately resulting in a pile of miscut and badly worn cards. The set offered in this lot remains in uncut form. Cards of 21 different Japan HOFers are included in the set: Victor Starffin (Russia), Henry "Bozo" Wakabayashi (Hawaii),
Tetsuharu Kawakami, Hiroshi Oshita, Shosei Go (Taiwan), Jiro Noguchi, Noboru Aota, Makoto Kozuru, Katsumi Shiraishi, Shigeru Chiba, Hideo Fujimoto, Hiroshi Nakao, Haruyasu Nakajima, Takehiko Bessho, Tokuji Iida, Kazuto Tsuruoka, Juzo Sanada, Michinori Tsubouchi,
Michio Nishizawa, Fumio Fujimura and Kaoru Betto. Also, one of the few cards of Hawaiian Fujio Ueda appears in this set.
Size: Each sheet is 10 1/4" x 15 1/8". Each card is 1 7/16" x 2 1/4".
Condition: Nearly all cards grade somewhere between Vg and Ex due to foxing. Some cards have light pencil checkmarks.
