Meiji Gakuin University, established in 1887, is one of the earliest Christian universities in Japan. The original campus is in Shirokane, with a second location later established in Yokohama.
The Reverend Dr. James Curtis Hepburn was one of the founders and the first president. This lot includes an original flannel jersey along with several player photographs from the 1930s.
The jersey has felt lettering across the chest that reads "MEIGAKU", and a patch on the left sleeve. There is also a Ticket and small flyer for a Dance Party that was held in Tokyo.
