Little is known about this unique Maruzen "Diamond Ball" signed by members of the U.S.S. Houston (CA-30) during their 1933 stop in Japan.
This ship was commissioned on June 17, 1930 and was nicknamed the "Galloping Ghost of the Java Coast". It was Sunk in the Battle of Sunda
Strait, March 1, 1942.
This ball contains 15 signatures including R.W. Davis, H.E. Dowden, E.F. Ernst, S. G. De Bols, Langhridge, Ray Abrams, S.A. Leifer, B. Fahey,
W.A. Hunter, H. Nickel, R.E. Davis, H.L. Smith, J.J. Berterosyallen and Jack Freret.
