Orignially, one Jintan gum card was found in each pack of Jintan chewing gum. Sticks of Jintan gum were similar in size to Wrigley's Gum, thus
accounting for the tall, narrow shape of the cards. These cards are thicker than most other baseball cards. The JG 9 issue appears to be slightly
more difficult to find than the quite similar JG 8 issue. However, both issues are scarce. Harimoto is the only Japanese player in history to have over 500 homers and 3,000 hits in his career.
