Sugishita was one of the premier pitchers of the 1950s, racking up 215 wins in just 11 seasons. His curveball was said to be devastating. He won over 30 games in a season twice and won three Sawamura (Japan Cy Young) awards.
This baseball was signed in black marker by Sugishita. He has written Chunichi Dragons on the sweet shot and added his uniform number 30 under his signature.
