Wisconsin University traveled to Japan for one of the earliest U.S. university Japan Tours. The team played its first four games against Keio University and the final three against Waseda University. Surprisingly, Keio won the first three games of the series, before Wisconsin salvaged the fourth game. The final three games against Waseda were also won by Wisconsin. Hall of Famer Zensuke Shimada (Keio) most likely appears in this photograph, but has not been identified. The second postcard features the entire Wisconsin University team displaying their school flag. Both cards come with the original glassine envelope. The text on the envelope says "Commemorative Baseball Match".

Size: 5 7/16" X 3 7/16".

Condition: Ex/Mt.
