Color bromides of the late 1940s and early 1950s were produced in much smaller quantities than black and white bromides, but they have always been more desirable. These highly colorful cards celebrated the creation of the two leagues, Central and Pacific, beginning with the 1950 season. The size of this set is unknown, as we have only seen a few examples of cards from this set in the past. This is by far the largest accumulation yet. Hall of Famers in this lot are Shigeru Chiba (2 diff.), Hideo Fujimoto, Fumio Fujimura, Kazuto Tsuruoka, Tokuji Iida, Kaoru Betto and Shosei Go (Taiwan). Others are Nagaike-Pirates (one year franchise), Kajioka-Tigers, Kaneda-Tigers, Ikeda-Stars and Aota-Giants. Blank backed.
Size: Each card is approximately 2" x 2 13/16".
Condition: Nice, uniform Ex to Ex/Mt
