While we've seen occasional card groupings from this set, this is the first time we've had the entire set. The individual cards were issued in sheets and cut into single cards by the purchaser. The 22 player plus reading baseball card pairs consist of 12 specific named player pairs and 10 generic pairs. HOFers include Tetsuharu Kawakami (God of Batting), Bozo Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Michio Nishizawa (major leaguer at age 15), Makoto Kozuru (first to hit 50 HR in Japan), Kaoru Betto (Gentleman of Baseball), Hiroshi Oshita, Fumio Fujimura (Mr. Tigers), Hideo Fujimoto (career ERA leader), Takehiko Bessho (300 game winner) and Michinori Tsubouchi. Others are Sugiura and Doigaki. Most other cards depict track & field or swimming, but there is also rowing, sumo, boxing, etc., etc.
Size: Each card is 1 1/2" x 2 3/16".
