Over the years, Sports Card Magazine (SCM) issued special cards, quite similar to corresponding to current BBM issues, and bound them into the magazine. One such card, issued in 2014, was SCM's version of 2014 BBM #137 Regular Issue 1st Version. There were two BBM #137 cards issued in BBM's 1st Version. One, depicted Ohtani pitching, while the other showed him swinging. In addition to the BBM card number, SCM added their own number for every special insert card that they produced. Their version of the swinging card is #243. This card has received the unimprovable grade of Pristine 10 by CGC.
