Over the years, we have seen tabas (unopened hanging bundles--equivalent to U.S. unopened box) consisting of single cards and uncut pairs. We have never before seen a giant taba consisting of 12 card panels! An example of one panel is attached to the taba cover. 31 additional panels are found inside.

JCM 14e is a 40 card set. It contains two different rookie cards of Isao Shibata, a card of Shigeo Nagashima, and cards of Americans Larry Raines and Francis Agcaoilli. However, the most important card in the set depicts Sadaharu Oh. An example of a JCM 14e 12 card panel including Sadaharu Oh is shown here, so you will be able to see an example of a panel containing the Oh card. The specific panel shown here is not part of this lot. However, there are 12 cards/panel x 31 panels (Oh not on the cover panel) = 372 unknown cards inside the taba.

372 cards in the taba/40 cards in the set = 9.3. So the expected number of Sadaharu Oh cards to be found in the taba is 9.3. If one were to cut the Oh cards from the panels and send them to a third party grader, one would expect to receive some very high grades, as most of the cards inside the taba are thought to be pristine. Also, if he or she desired, a person could make at least several high grade sets from this taba.

In any case, this is a rare and special taba. The winner will be the owner of the only taba of this style associated with any set that we have ever seen.

Size: The taba is 8" x 11 1/2". Each 12 card panel is 7.25" x 9" Each individual card would be 1 13/16" x 3" if cut from the taba.

Condition: The taba itself is Vg. The panel on the outside exhibits some wear. Most cards on the inside should be high grade.
