The Hoshi Gangu set features 20 cards of Japan Pro Baseball players.  One of them is Hawaii native Andy Miyamoto, who spent eight seasons with the Yomiuri Giants (1955-1962).  This is the only example of the JCM 24 Miyamoto card that has been graded by PSA.  Of the 160 JCM 24 cards of any player graded by PSA, only 31 are graded higher than this card, with the majority of all cards graded landing in the PSA 4 to 6 range.

A native of Maui, Miyamoto, an outfielder, moved to the Kokutetsu Swallows (1963-1964) after his eight years with the Giants. He was a three-time all-star and was named MVP of the 1961 Japan Series. Interestingly, he finished his career in 1965 with the Hawaii Islanders of the Pacific Coast League.
