This Shigeo Nagashima rookie card is one of the most rarely seen cards in the JF 24b set.  We know of only three copies of the card including this one. 

There are quite a few different tobacco type menko rookie cards of this Legendary Hall of Famer.  However, Nagashima rookie cards sold with candy or gum products are far less common.  While the tobacco menko type cards were produced by printing companies and were not sold with product, candy and gum cards, such as this one, were associated with popular Japanese brands, and are thus are more highly prized by collectors in Japan.  

Shigeo Nagashima, is still felt by many to be the greatest Japanese baseball player ever.  There are more different rookie cards of Nagashima than for any other player on either side of the Atlantic. However, this is a special one. Any Nagashima card collection will be enhanced by the addition of this card.
