We know that this photo depicts Bozo Wakabayashi (1908-1965) when he was young. But riding a tricycle? Honestly! At first, we thought he might be wearing his Hosei University school cap in the photo. However, the emblem on the cap he is wearing does not match the Hosei cap. We know that after arriving in Japan from Hawaii, he was made to go to a school where he improved his Japanese reading and writing skills before he could enter Hosei in 1929. However, we do not know which school that was, so we do not know whether he is wearing that school's cap either. We do know that given his youthful appearance in the photo, that it was taken during his early days in Japan.

The photograph is signed in Japanese boldly in black ink. It appears to have been removed from a photo album at one time.
