The Ebisuya Sporting Goods Department of Kyoto, Japan produced this "Speciall Ball (sic)" which has a cowhide cover and cork center. We have no information regarding the company that produced the ball, nor do we know by whom this type of ball was generally used. The unused ball, found in an old house in Japan, is still in it's original packaging. Two sides of the box contain images of a catcher and a player throwing. It is very unusual to find unused prewar Japanese baseballs of any type, since most did not survive World War II. This item would occupy a cherished place in a collection of prewar Japanese equipment.

Size: Regular baseball size

Condition: The baseball surface has darkened after nearly a century in storage. However, it appears to be unused. The box is in Fair condition.
