Undogaho Magazine was published by Toyokuni Sha. Each of the 15 cards in this tan bordered premium set can be found with either a green tint or brown tint image. Backs a generally blank, but there is also a scoreboard back version. This card of Takeshi Tsuji is the green tint, scoreboard back version.

Takeshi Tsuji was a star pitcher for Rikkio University in the Tokyo Big Six League from 1927 to 1931. In 1931, he led Rikkio to their first ever Big Six University League championship. Tsuji was then selected to play for the All Japan team against the U.S. Major League All Stars during their 1931 Tour of Japan. He started the first and third games of the series and unfortunately took the loss both times.

Tsuji's greatest fame came as manager of his alma mater during the years 1956 to 1960, when he piloted Rikkio U. to four consecutive Big Six League titles. These were the team's first championships since 1931. Of course, it certainly helped that two of the players from his first two championship teams were future Japan Hall of Famers Shigeo Nagashima, who (not surprisingly) won two consecutive Big Six League batting championships, and pitcher Tadashi Sugiura, who in 1958, his rookie year in Japan Pro Baseball, won 27 games with a 2.05 ERA and was named Pacific League Rookie of the Year.
