Diamond Heroes was BBM's premium card brand throughout the 1990s. Generally, the designs relied heavily on metallic foil. An example of a 1997 card and a 1999 card appear here merely as examples. They are not part of this lot. The lot offered here consists of 10 packs of 1997 Diamond Heroes and 10 packs of 1999 Diamond Heroes cards. Each of the 20 packs contains eight cards, for a total of 160 cards in this lot.

The 1997 Diamond Heroes base set consists of 294 cards. Players include Ichiro Suzuki, Hideki Matsui, and others who later played in the U.S. including former A.L. ROY Kazuhiro Sasaki, Tadahito Iguchi, Masumi Kuwata, Kazuo Matsui, Masato Yoshii, Kazuhisa Ishii, Tsuyoshi Shinjyo and many others. Cards from two parallel sets can also be found in these packs--Mound Masters and Run Producers. Japan baseball's biggest stars are in these sets including Ichiro , H. Matsui, Sasaki, etc. Additionally, 150 Hideki Matsui jersey cards were included in 1997 Diamond Heroes packs.

The 1999 Diamond Heroes base set consists of 252 cards. In addition to the players listed above for the 1997 set, the 1999 set includes rookie cards of Daisuke Matsuzaka and Koji Uehara, who are pictured on each pack. 24 cards from a parallel set called Perfect Pitcher/Above Average, which includes both Ichiro Suzuki and Koji Uehara among others, are also included in the 1999 packs. Moreover, there is a two card Super Rookies parallel set consisting of Koji Uehara and Daisuke Matsuzaka, and two limited edition of 100 bat cards of Bobby Rose and Tsuyoshi Shinjyo.

Condtion: All cards inside the packs should be Nm/Mt or Mint. The packs themselves are unopened and in outstanding condition.
