This large card contains the same image as the regular JBR 87 card of Michio Nishizawa, but is much larger and cropped differently. It was awarded as a second prize winner card on a display sheet for the JBR 87 set that hung at the store where JBR 87 cards could be purchased from hanging bundles. If an ordinarily blank backed JBR 87 regular card contained the number 2 stamped on the back by the manufacturer, the card's owner was then allowed to choose a second prize card from the store's display sheet.

Michio Nishizawa made his Japan Pro Baseball debut as a pitcher in 1937 at the age of only 15! In 1940, at the age of 18, he went 20-9 with a 1.92 ERA. He pitched a no hitter in 1942. After the end of World War II, he switched to the outfield, where he became an even bigger star until his retirement after the 1958 season. A five time all- star, Nishizawa was inducted into the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. Nishizawa enjoyed a banner year in 1950, batting .311 with 46 home runs and 135 RBIs. Blank backed.

Size: 4 3/4" x 6 7/8"

Condition: Ex. Extra paper on the back across the top from having been issued as a second prize card on a display sheet. All JBR 87b cards contain this extra paper.
