JF 2 is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous card sets ever produced. These large cards with "pure card" fronts and cream borders feature extremely high quality color photography for a baseball card of any era. JF 1 and the more common 1964 JF 2 Morinaga Top Star cards have identical fronts, but the JF 1 cards have diecut backs that can be folded to make the card stand up. The text printed on the back in Japanese for the two issues is nearly identical, except that text on JF 1 backs includes instructions for making the card stand up, and the inscription "Morinaga Color Stand" printed at the top.

This example features Japanese legend Sadaharu Oh, who was just entering his prime at the time. The text on the reverse contains Oh's vital information and mentions of some of his 1962 and 1963 batting feats. 1964 was the year Oh hit his single season record of 55 home runs, while also winning his first of nine Central League MVP awards.
