This ticket was used for admission to Game 2 of the 17 game U.S. Major League All Star Tour of Japan, played on November 8, 1931 at Jingu Stadium. The opposition for the All Stars was Waseda University. The Americans came from behind to prevail by a score of 8 to 5, thanks to a seven run 7th inning. Japan Hall of Famer Masao Date had hamstrung the Major League All Stars earlier in the game, but subsequent pitchers Fukuda and Shimizu were not quite as successful. Lefty Grove was the winning pitcher in relief. We doubt that the Americans took the game completely seriously as Lou Gehrig pitched a scoreless inning! The ticket itself was used, as can be seen by the punch hole.
