In 1967, the Yomiuri Giants won their third consecutive Japan Series title. The team cruised to the Central League pennant with a mark of 84-46-4. Next, they bested the Hankyu Braves in four games to win the championship, with Hall of
Fame Members Masaichi Kaneda and Tsuneo Horiuchi posting victories. Hall of Famer Masahiko Mori was voted most valuable player. The Giants would go on to win nine championships in a row behind manager Tetsuharu Kawakami and
sluggers Sadaharu Oh and Shigeo Nagashima, along with a galaxy of other stars.
This large pennant was produced in commemoration of the 1967 championship. It is a souvenir of a special Giants season.
