In 1961, Tetsuharu Kawakami, recently retired as a player, and the greatest Japanese hitter of all time up to that point, was named manager of the Yomiuri Giants. From 1965 to 1973, he led the team to an incredible nine consecutive Japan Series Championships (known as V9). During this period, Kawakami was supplanted as all time greatest hitter by his charges, Sadaharu Oh and Shigeo Nagashima, known collectively as the ON Cannon. This series of medals features all three during the glory years of the V9 Giants. Bust portraits of the three players are found on the medal fronts, while the backs each contain an image of the Yomiuri Giants logo flag.

Size: Each medal is approximately 2" in diameter.

Condition: Each medal is Ex to Ex/Mt.
