As far as we know, JK 22 is Billy Wyatt's only baseball card produced either in the U.S. or Japan. Not much is known about him. Born in 1929, Wyatt, a shortstop and third baseman, began his pro career in 1952 in Japan with the Nishitetsu Lions for whom he played in 68 games and batted .261. He then played for several years in the U.S. minor leagues. He spent 1953 with the Leesburg Lakers and Natchez Indians. For 1954 he moved to the Orlando C.B.s. In 1955 he was playing for the Gainesville G-Men, and in 1956 for the Tifton Phillies. And so ended his organized baseball career. In the U.S., Wyatt never advanced beyond Class C baseball. This lot consists of Wyatt's JK 22 karuta picture card and reading card. The reading card is blank backed.  The player card has an interesting crossed bats motif on the back.

Size: Each card is 1 7/8" x 2 1/4".

Condition: Both cards are Nm/Mt
