We are not sure as to whether this card was a first prize winner on a display sheet for the JBR 25 Wide Marutoku Bromide set or the JBR 56 Widest Marutoku Bromide set. However, we do know that this is only the second example of this
card that we have ever encountered. It's a stunning portrait of Hiroshi Oshita in his last season with the Tokyu Flyers, before leaving for the Nishitetsu Lions. Raised in Taiwan, Oshita entered Japan Pro Baseball in 1946
following a stellar career at Meiji University. He was the most feared hitter in the early years of the Pacific League. Oshita was named to eight Best 9 teams during his career. He batted an astounding .383 in 1951. He was elected to the
Japan Hall of Fame in 1980. Blank backed card.
Size: 7" x 9 3/4"
