The JCM 151 set is truly rare. We know that there are 50 cards in the set, but we have checklisted only 45 cards so far. We don't know who produced it, but we do know that there were associated display sheets with first, second and third prize panels of cards. The set was given the designation R5 in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 2.1, signifying that five or fewer copies of each card are known to exist, but it is possible that up to five cards may no longer exist at all! The set is listed in the Guide as a menko set because there is a menko number on the back. However, it could have also been listed as a game set, because it seems that a baseball game could be played with the cards. This lot consists of nine cards, each depicting a Japan Hall of Fame member. The players are: Takehiko Bessho (2 different), Shigeru Chiba, Fumio Fujimura, Shosei Go (China), Tokuji Iida, Makoto Kozuru, Hiroshi Nakao and Hiroshi Oshita.

Size: 1 3/8" x 2 7/8"

Condition: Most cards are Ex/Mt o/c left to right and top to bottom.
