This is the more difficult of the two 1931 U.S. Tour of Japan programs to acquire, and is also the more attractive. Lou Gehrig graces the cover. There are photo bios of all players for both teams inside. The U.S. cast of players included U.S. Hall of Fame Members Lou Gehrig, Lefty Grove, Mickey Cochrane, George Kelly, Frankie Frisch, Rabbit Maranville, Al Simmons and Japan HOFer, Lefty O'Doul. The Japanese contingent featured Japan HOFers Tadashi "Bozo" Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Masao Date, Saburo Miyatake, Kenjiro Matsuki, Shigeru Mizuhara, Takeo Tabe, Shotaro Ogawa, Jiro Kuji, Osamu Mihara, Osamu Mihara, Hisanori Karita and Shigeo Mori.

All American players are identified in English next to their photos. While the Japanese players' names are printed in English on the roster list, they are identified in Japanese next to their photos. One page is a scorecard. A previous owner has filled out the lineups for the game between the U.S. team and Keio University played on 11/21/31. The game was won by the U.S. team by a score of 5-1. Larry French was the winning pitcher, although he was relieved during the game by Lefty Grove. All in all, this is a great memento of a historic baseball series.

Size: 5" x 10 1/2" (24 pages including some foldout pages).

Condition: There is a paper abrasion at the left edge of the cover. In general, Vg/Ex. It's a beautiful book.
