Osamu Higashio, the man with the "Cheshire Cat" grin, spent his entire 20 year active career as a pitcher with the Lions (1969-88). He won 251 games and was a ten time all star. He was awarded the Pacific League MVP award in both
1983 and 1987, and was a mainstay on five Seibu Lions championship teams. He later managed the Lions to consecutive Pacific League titles. This official ball, of the type used by the Seibu Lions in actual games, contains the Japanese
inscription, "200 wins, 9/15/84". Signed in black marker.
