Produced by Takatoku Toys, Japan's third largest toy company at the time (but now bankrupt), this children's automatic batting machine allowed youngsters to emulate their idol, the immortal Sadaharu Oh. The carrying case states that the product is endorsed by Oh. Inscribed on the snap used to secure the case, we see the Yomiuri Giants official product logo. Apparently, there were originally three plastic baseballs in the package, but only two remain. We believe that a Sadaharu Oh decal bat was also originally included as part of the set, but it is missing from this lot. However, the bat and all three balls are pictured on the color instruction sheet, which also contains a striking color image of Oh. This is truly an unusual and attractive piece of Sadaharu Oh memorabilia.
