The large size color Fujiya Caramel Premium Card of Sadaharu Oh is one of his rarest and certainly one of his most beautiful rookie cards. In support of these assertions, it has been assigned a scarcity factor of R5 in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 2.1 by Gary Engel, meaning that five or fewer examples of this card are known to exist. Moreover, an example of this card fills the entire cover page of the guide! In general, the JF 25 set is similar in style to the somewhat more common 1958 black and white JF 24 Fujiya Caramel premiums, but the 1959 issue was printed in color. The Fujiya logo appears at lower left. "Giants--Sadaharu Oh" is also printed on the card in Japanese. Unfortunately, the corners of the card contain tape residue, but these blemishes do not affect any major portions of the image. Facsimile autograph. Blank backed.
