This chevron style banner first appeared in one of our 2003 auctions, and has been reconsigned to us. Produced using high quality materials, the banner celebrates the Giants' 1963 Japan Series title. The Series between the Giants and Nishitetsu Lions lasted all seven games, capped by the Giants' blowout 18-4 victory over Hall of Fame great pitcher Kazuhisa inao in the finale. Inao started four games in 10 days during the Series, finally running out of gas in Game 7. The Giants were propelled by Sadaharu Oh's two Game 7 homers, his third and fourth of the series. Oh was named Outstanding Player of the Series. Shigeo Nagashima was named MVP. Inao won the Fighting Spirit award.
