This large game sheet was included as a New Year's gift in the January 1, 1931 issue of the Kokumin Shimbun newspaper. The game sheet contains instructions for a dice game in which the round player images are to be cut from the
sheet and glued to thicker stock, and then used as game pieces. The large sheet was to be used as the game board. Since the game offered here is unused, the player game pieces are still only pieces of paper. If glued to the thicker
stock, one might say that they could be considered to be baseball cards at that point. 22 Tokyo Big Six League University players are represented, including 11 Japan Baseball Hall of Fame Members--Masao Date, Saburo Miyatake,
Shigeo Mori, Minoru Yamashita, Takeo Tabe, Osamu Mihara, Shigeru Mizuhara, Hisanori Karita, Henry "Bozo" Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Kenjiro Matsuki and Shotaro Ogawa.
Size: Sheet--31" x 21 1/4". Player game pieces--Approximately 1 1/2" in diameter.
Condition: Sheet--Ex/Mt to Nm. Most player game pieces would be Nm/Mt or Mint if cut properly from the sheet.
