In 1948, Victor Starffin (1916-1957), the great Russian hurler was in his first year with the Kinsei Stars of the Japanese Pacific League. Nine years later, he was killed in a tragic auto accident at age 40. Thus, single signed Starffin autographed items are scarcer than for most other vintage Hall of Famers. This uncatalogued bromide card was signed by Starffin in English with a blue fountain pen.
