This is the first time that we have ever encountered this set. In fact, we have never before seen a diecut menko issue printed after 1950! We also do not know whether or not this is the complete set. Based on the players and teams included, the set must have been produced between 1967 and 1969. The cards are designed in the style of the popular manga series Kyojin no Hoshi. While the images on the card fronts look almost nothing like the actual players (as named on the card backs), this is still a unique and colorful set of menko. Players included in the set: (top row, left to right) Sadaharu Oh (HOF), Shigeo Nagashima (HOF), Masaichi Kaneda (HOF), Tsuneo Horiuchi (HOF) (bottom row, left to right) Yutaka Enatsu, Shinichi Eto (HOF), Isao Shibata (Golden Player), Kentaro Shimada.
