More than 30 years before Hideo Nomo, Masanori Murakami became the first native Japanese to play in the U.S. Major Leagues. Murakami autographed this photo in English and inscribed "'64-'65" below the signature. These are the two
years that Murakami played for the San Francisco Giants. The signed photo was produced by the Baseball Magazine Company, makers of the BBM baseball cards. The regular edition of this autographed photo was limited to 100
numbered copies. This rare example is an artist proof numbered AP4 at lower right. There were only five artist proofs produced.
Size: 10" x 12"
Condition: The signature grades 10 out of 10. The photograph is Mint.
