Sotaru Suzuki (1890-1982) was a Columbia University educated journalist for the Yomiuri Shimbun (newspaper), owners of the Tokyo Giants. He was instrumental in arranging the 1931 and 1934 U.S. Major League All Star Tours of Japan,
and in fact, was in charge of the negotiations to bring Babe Ruth to Japan in 1934. For years, Suzuki was known as Japan's most respected baseball author. This book with dust jacket contains seven photos, including images of Babe
Ruth, Ty Cobb and John McGraw. Suzuki has signed the book in fountain pen along with a personal inscription. 1st Edition.
