Most shikishi (traditional Japanese signing boards) are plain white, gold bordered pieces of cardboard used for autographs. This shikishi is special, as it features original artwork depicting two cranes, signed at lower left by the artist, along with his "hanko" or hand stamp. Yogi Berra tastefully placed his signature at the upper left of the drawing. Berra was the manager of the New York Mets when they traveled to Japan after the 1974 season, playing 18 games against the Yomiuri Giants and various Japan Pro Baseball All Star teams between October 26 and November 20. The Mets finished with a 9-7-2 record.

Size: 9 1/2" x 10 5/8"

Condition: The shikishi is Nm/Mt. The autograph grades 9 out of 10.
